Day 1 (Jan. 1)
Weight-loss goal: Lose 20 lbs in 28 days
Here is how I did, on DAY 1 of my 28-Day Raw Food Cleanse.
Woke up and worked out right away. On the treadmill for 20 minutes for some HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).
Followed that with some very basic, easy strength training moves: 10 lunges, 15 tricep dips, followed by a 40 second superman pose.
I had almost a litre of water before preparing some awesome, fresh green juice for my husband and me.
Morning Green Juice* -makes about 40 oz./1300 mL
7 stalks of celery
1 green pepper
*Once I am back at work, I won’t have time to photograph all my juices, but I will try to post some recipes with photos.
Throughout the rest of the day, I had two and a half jars of smoothies (green endive, arugula, bananas, frozen mixed berries and water).
I also ate 5 oranges as a meal. In the evening, I was craving salt, so I ate two tomatoes, with a little bit of salt, along with 1/8 section of avocado…yum yum!
In total, I had about 2.5 litres of water today.
