Day 9 (Jan. 9)
Morning Weight: up 1 lb, with a total loss of 6.4 lbs since Day 1.
Worked out on the treadmill for an HIIT run and squeezed in a 60 min. Superman pose too. I was a bit rushed this morning.
I enjoyed a fantastic fresh juice this morning that included beets and lime. A great kickstart to the day!
Throughout the day, I had four jars of smoothies as well as some nice baby tomatoes.
My first meal after work was my dinner, which turned out to be a restaurant meal.
Oh no! What did I do? So many temptations!
I ordered a club soda with some lime. I did go off my diet, ever so slightly by having a little bit of cranberry juice added to my soda (cranberry juice is NOT on the cleanse as it is a processed item-if I made my own at home, well, that would be different).
What the heck did I eat for dinner at a restaurant during my cleanse?
I ordered a salad that was like a Greek salad, except I asked for no feta cheese and for the dressing on the side. The dressing is definitely not part of the cleanse, but as a treat, I dipped my fork into it several times to savour with my lettuce greens, cucumber, tomato, red onion and red pepper.
I probably took about 45 minutes to eat my salad, which has to be some kind of record…I usually eat much faster! But, I was having great conversation with my friend, Susan, and it just worked out that way.
By the time I picked up my daughter from swimming and got home, we had just enough time to finish a movie we had started before heading to bed.
Journey Moment! I realized that physically, I felt really good in the evening. I think that this was because I ate my salad at such a slow rate. Normally when I am home, I eat pretty quickly, so from now on, I am going to use this journey moment to remind me to slow down, and give the darn food some time to process.
My water today was probably around 2 L.
