Week 7 Food Log 4/10-I blame it on my cold

What a week it was. I got a cold a few days in and just let things go after that. What a food party I’ve been having: cheese, pizza, ice cream, potato chips and dip…WOW!

Things were actually worse than the previous week. Well, I say, so what! I felt crappy and ate crappy too. Not necessarily the way to go, but that’s what happens sometimes.

I am NOT perfect, and I DO know that I won’t let this poor eating spree last forever.

I don’t really blame it on my cold…it’s still my choice to put unhealthy food in my mouth. But…when we’re not feeling well, it’s harder to fight for what we really want.

No exercise happened this week, but there were 6 days without alcohol. 🙂

Let’s look at how my TOTAL weight loss has been going.

May 21 to May 28 -6.2 lbs

May 21 to June 4 -6.4 lbs

May 21 to June 11 –2.8 lbs

May 21 to June 18 -3.4 lbs

Even though this week was a bad one for the quality and amount of food I ate, my weight didn’t go up. It’s probably because I had alcohol on only one day. Booze is packed with empty calories.

As I write this post, I am actually three days into the next week. I’m still sick and not eating very well. Stay tuned for how the week turned out.

Here’s week 7.

June 12

-10.5 eating hours (10:00 to 8:30 p.m.)

-homemade latte with soy milk, turmeric and maple syrup

-baked Japanese yams with Frank’s hot sauce

-mandarin orange

-portobello mushroom, broccoli and baked potato with homemade white bean spread (white navy beans, horseradish, chives, garlic)

-whole wheat toast with garlic

popcorn cooked in oil

-club soda

chocolate covered almonds

-no alcohol

June 13

-11 eating hours (9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.)

-homemade soy latte with turmeric and maple syrup

-2 mandarin oranges

-baked Japanese yam with Frank’s hot sauce

-cream of mushroom soup

-potato wedges

veggie pad Thai from restaurant (oil)

-chocolate covered almonds

-2 veggie burgers on white bun with mustard, relish, tomato, lettuce and red onion

-1 glass of wine

-2 Mike’s Hard Lemonade

June 14 (first day with a cold)

-12 eating hours (10 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.)

-Starbucks soy latte with 2 pumps of vanilla syrup

-mini cucumber and cherry tomatoes

-Japanese yam with Frank’s

-kale salad with oil, carrots and chickpeas

French onion soup with shredded cheese

-egg salad sandwich

-Mandarin orange

pizza (veggie AND some with meat)

-popcorn, cooked in oil

-club soda

-no alcohol

June 15

-12 hours of eating (9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)

-Mandarin orange

-cheese and onion sandwich with vegan mayo

-mashed potatoes with butter

-popcorn cooked in oil

Caesar salad from restaurant

-gnocchi with tomato cream sauce and chorizo, from restaurant

-cheese and onion half sandwich on mayo

-ice cream bar

-club soda

-no alcohol

June 16

7 eating hours (12:00 to 7:00 p.m.)

-cappuccino

grilled egg and cheese sandwich with hasbrowns, from restaurant

-mashed potatoes, corn on the cob

-edamame

-no alcohol

June 17

10.5 eating hours (12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)

-toast with avocado and salt

-homemade soy latte with maple syrup

potato chips and dip

-homemade pizza with veggies and cheese

-Sanpellegrino Clementine beverage

-club soda

-slice of cheddar with onion

-apple crumble with vanilla ice cream

-drumstick (ice cream)

-no alcohol

June 18

-11 eating hours (10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)

-Starbucks soy latte with two pumps vanilla syrup

-baked potato

-split pea soup, falafel balls (fried in oil) with hummus and salad with oil dressing from restaurant

ice cream

-veggie broth soup with veggies and rice noodles (from restaurant)

-no alcohol
